Queen of Procrastination
So I may be a bit of a procrastinator. A bit?! Girl please, you rule the place! You again? Seriously? Ya and you better get used to it because I’m sticking with you forever. Ugh fine. Yes, I am the Queen of Procrastination. It’s not like I want to be that way, but I have kind of adopted it as…...oooooo Lilly Singh posted a YouTube video!! I should watch it!! Five Hours Later. It’s about time you showed up. You didn’t even get to the point yet and you run off. See what I mean. I’m like a dog when it sees a squirrel. It’s usually a five step process.
1. Avoid It Like The Plague
I know I have work to complete, but honestly I don’t want to waste this beautiful day on that, so I’m going to watch Netflix and look through my social media for an indefinite amount of time. Shouldn’t you start work?! Why would I do that? Well you might get stressed if you do it last minute. Oh please, that won’t happen.
2. Sit In Front of Work… Looking at Phone
I guess I should start work, so I’ll sit down and start work after I send a text to my friend telling them I’ll talk to her later. It’s been an hour. She was in a crisis. Choosing which outfit she should wear to an event next month is a crisis? Yes, what do you think it is? A matter for next month. Whatever.
3. Actually Start
Alright I’m starting. Finally!!
4. Squirrel!
Oh look at that interesting show my sister is watching on TV! I should watch it too. Don’t you dare!! Too late. I’m hooked.
5. Last Minute Freak Out
That series was so good….oh crap my assignment is due tomorrow!!! I told you so. Not helping.
Even though I still finish the work on time, it is not a smooth process. Do I remember and correct that course though. No, I never do that. That’s not healthy. I don’t….. Wait, what did he say?! Tell me everything. Sorry guys, talking to a friend. I’ll be right back. She’s not coming back is she? Madeline!!!
Me :) Also, I love the featuring of your inner critic :)
