Sisters not Besties

Today we are gonna take a break from my serious posts and give you a chance to learn a bit about me for a change. Let's go back to a time I wasn't social at all. I was that shy, and literal nerdy girl who would sit in the corner and read. I'm not sure what happened to turn me into the sarcastic a little bit less shy girl who is still pretty much a nerd. Ya, I'm still that girl who is obsessed with the bookstore and the smell of books and rain. (If you didn’t know already I'm super weird and wear my weirdness proudly) That’s beside the point. I actually do know what happened. My sisters happened. Now I'm not talking by blood here, because I love those two munchkins, but they aren't the influences that made me who I am today. Those were what outsiders would call my best friends. If you have known me for a while however, you would know it's hard for me to get to the point where I would do anything and say anything with and not care what anybody thought...

Normal Doesn't Exist

You have most likely heard the phrase "Normal is boring" once or twice in your lifetime. I'd be willing to bet, however, that you've never heard anyone say normal doesn't exist. I'm about to tell you just that. I want to begin by saying that I by no means believe that normal doesn't exist. Let's start with one single school building. You can observe the people in the building from the outside. You can watch them going to and from their classes, and talking to their friends, concluding that they're your normal, run of the mill human beings. They're not though. Now let's take a random person (now to be known as Stacy). Looking from an outside v...

Opinions are POV not Fact

Now if you don't know what POV means, number 1 get your head out of the gutter, and number 2 it's an acronym standing for Point of View. That’s exactly what a person's opinion is. IT'S THEIR POV. Let me say that again if you didn't catch that. OPINION=POV!   So many people today mistake opinion for fact. They take people's word that they are too fat or too skinny. They think there is a problem with them because someone says there is. That's why most people who are bullied in school become depressed or worse. That’s why girls care so much about their image because "Society"(a bunch of people voicing their own OPINION) says they need to look and act exactly like a certain view or they are not beautiful.    Listen up! A person's opinion about the way you dress, talk, act, or look is just that, their opinion. An opinion does not define whether you are beautiful, ugly, smart, dumb, awesome, or shun worthy. Everyone is beautiful and awesom...
